Rare Louis XV Style Italian Parquetry Inlaid Side Table

This Louis XV-style Italian side table features detailed parquetry and wood inlay, c. 1770. The cabriole legs and inlaid design are characteristic reflecting the transitional style of Northern Italian furniture design in the late 1700's.  All dowel construction. 

Of note, this beautiful piece has very rare and unique carved feet, reflecting that of a deer or cloven footed animal with delicately carved tendrils of fur. This elegantly, simple design offers a classic look that works well in both traditional and updated interiors.

Sized for versatility, this inlaid wood side table functions easily as an end table, accent table, or bedside table. 

The piece is in very good condition, please see pictures, and is testament to its creation nearly 225 years ago. It is sturdy, but delicate and is meant as a small writing or reading desk or side table.
