Enjoy this original and lovely hand painted antique lithograph by Charles Motte (1785-1836), after the renowned naturalist Jean-Baptiste Meunier (1786-1858). Charles Motte was a successful artist and a favorite of Napoleon I's entourage, painting naturalist scenes, battles, and the political leaders of the time.
This lithograph with original hand-coloring is from the Oeuvres Completes de Buffon, published in Paris in 1832.
