Circa late 1700’s, pre-French Revolution, this extremely rare pair of sterling silver candelabras from Paris has the unique seam and screw construction of the hand poured and assembled creation of silver pieces during the Louis XVI's reign.
Each candelabra has three arm lights, with a central à double usage urn ornament creating a fourth light when turned over. (Please see video.)
Many precious metals were melted down, including silver, to fund the revolutionary efforts and the new government, making these stunning pieces even more valuable. Passed down through generations, these candelabras for the first time are now available for you
In Dec. 2024, Sotheby's offered and sold a set of six of the exact design and era, in bronze, from the estate of the German Rothschilds for $16,400 /14,400 Euros. Don't miss this opportunity to add a piece of history to your collection.
