Felix Gogo was a well-known impressionist artist from Belgium, 1872 - 1953. While sourcing at St. Ouen in Paris, I kept returning to view this mysterious and beautiful women in red.
Other works of his are housed in the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, Antwerp and sold at auction for prices of $500 to $5,000 USD.
The vendor said he had just found her in the Loire Valley from a chateau estate sale. There is a small repair on the right side of her forehead. She is mesmerizing in any light.
The painting is signed in the lower left and is oil on canvas, stretched along its original wood frame backing. Although the painting is unframed, I am happy to source a frame for you if this is something you would like. Either way, she is stunning.
